Patricia Lois Nuss Bambace is an artist, educator, and multidisciplinary designer whose work spans photography, emerging media, and the translation of complex technical concepts into engaging learning experiences. Working across photography, video, and alternative processes, she explores themes of connection, belonging, and the ways individuals construct meaning through shared experience.

Before transitioning into instructional design, Patricia spent more than a decade teaching photography, digital media, and visual storytelling in higher education. As an Adjunct Professor at the Southeast Center for Photographic Studies in Daytona Beach, Florida, she taught courses including Advanced Digital Methods, Business for Photographers, Narrative Editorial, History of Photography, and Darkroom. She also served as a Visiting Professor at Chiang Mai University in Thailand, specializing in Alternative Photographic Processes.

Patricia’s foundation in higher level education, visual communication, cross-cultural exchange, and learner engagement continues to influence her work as an instructional designer, shaping her ability to translate complex ideas into meaningful learning experiences through clear design, storytelling, and learner-centered thinking.

Patricia has contributed to international photographic communities through curatorial, educational, and service work. She served as a curator for the Chiang Mai Photo Festival and later organized an exhibition of contemporary Thai photography for the Southeast Museum of Photography. She also contributed to Lensational, a social enterprise that provides photography education and cameras to marginalized women internationally, including founding the Thailand program in partnership with Daughters Rising. Her work has been exhibited internationally at venues including the Corcoran College of Art and Design, Aqua Art Fair during Art Basel Miami, the Chiang Mai University Art Museum, Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, the University of New Orleans, the Florida State College Museum of Fine Arts, and the Maryland Institute College of Art.

Patricia received an MFA in Emerging Media and a BFA in Photography from the University of Central Florida. Her academic background in visual communication, emerging technologies, and interactive media continues to inform her work as both an artist and instructional designer, shaping her ability to make complex ideas engaging, accessible, and meaningful.
